Rukavac can be found on the right hand side of the island and reaches out toward Budikovac and Ravnik island, which conceals the "Green cave". Exactly at noon without fail, the penetrating sunshine gives rise to the powerful green hues amidst the sea's inherent blue. Visiting this island, Cinderella, is a must – you simply can't go home without making a stop here. Easy boat access is available, provided by the local fishermen. Rukavac Bay keeps up its sleeve the most beautiful beach on the island, veiled in a thick pine forest. The name of this hidden beauty is Silver Beach (Srebrna). Here, it's enough to take just one cleansing breath and have your lungs filled with freshness, beauty and health.
We found our spot at Rukavac, situated on a hill offering a sublime panorama of a lush, greenery-filled garden. Although our estate is situated with its back to the sea, we are safely protected from the strong winds that penetrate the island during our cooler months. Nevertheless, the sea is quite accessible. Simply leave your car to rest, stretch out your legs, and head for the hidden bays. Srebrna, Teplus, Ruda, Mala Srebrna and a whole row of giant rocks unfold before you toward the open sea. The Estate under the Paintbrush opens its doors to everyone who wants to relax and rest. Recreation is our goal, allowing our guests the option to creatively re-enrich themselves by taking part in the authentic life of our Vis artisan, unleashing your innate artistic potential. And maybe soon after, you will discover your spiritual roots and become a native to Vis. You can paint, sing or play along with local musicians, take part in theather plays, go to poetry workshops, learn perhaps a dozen key phrases of the Vis and Komiža dialect. Familiarize yourself with the Meditteranean fauna and flora, try your hand at making your own marmalade, pick grapes and olives, and learn how to prepare Dalmatian cuisine from our top notch island chefs. We provide you with the opportunity to uncover a healthy and natural lifestyle, thus returning to the authentic and true values of life.
On our Estate, feel free to express yourself in the form of projects, workshops, and seminars. It would be our pleasure to learn from you, spend quality time with you and offer you help in the realization of your personal projects. It is our goal to exchange experiences and creative ideas.

We pondered about coming to the island for a long time, until the day that we got on the ship which brought us to Vis. Yes, it wasn't easy letting go of city habits and comforts. And we have to admit, the winter caught us by surprise. But now we've exchanged the commercial perfumes for the scent of lavander, the long train rides with walking; and the city noises with the seaside symphony, constantly changing in color and sound. Naturally inspired, we began to paint. You could say that it's truly been a rigorous undertaking which we started over eight years ago. Lovingly and purposefully, we designed our home, rock by rock, flower by flower, creating and bringing to life our dream home. Today we are proud of what we have created and want to share that energy and experience with our guests. We hope that under our paintbrush you will also find your true colors to uncover and enjoy.

One of our pleasures and ongoing challenges is to provide the experience of enjoyment in our local creative cuisine. Our cuisine is based on the dishes of the wider Mediterranean and are identical to the dishes that we serve our family. The daily menu depends on domestic, seasonal offerings sold by our island neighbors, or what can be harvested in our garden. We offer a buffet-type breakfast and lunch after the beach.
